GoVR is the latest educational offering from GoStudent tutoring. It is a pioneering, immersive language learning class designed specifically for students aged 13-18. GoVR offers tutor-led virtual reality (VR) learning in small groups, enabling students to enhance their English speaking abilities and confidence through immersion into exciting virtual environments.

Virtual reality is a computer-generated simulation of a 3D image or environment that can be interacted with in a seemingly real or physical way.

Yes. The Immerse Platform upholds a stringent safety policy which you can access here. Lessons are conducted in small groups with GoStudent customers only and hand selected GoStudent tutors. Tutors are recruited amongst the best GoStudent tutors, screened, trained and subjected to our regular child safety policy.  There are several tools already in place to help keep students safe while in VR. At the Quest platform level, you can report and block people. You can also report abusive behavior or content from inside a game or app, or you can report it outside of the headset from the web tool.

VR glasses (Meta Quests 2) are only supplied with the Booster Pack. If you select this option, we will deliver all equipment directly to your home, and will be yours to keep. Otherwise, you are welcome to join GoVR classes on your laptop/desktop or use your own Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest Pro.

Once you’ve signed up for a lesson, you can enter the environment on a laptop/desktop using your browser, or with a VR headset.

Yes, you can join a GoVR session using the browser application on your computer.

GoStudent customers have multiple ways to sign up for GoVR on their WebApp profiles. If you are not a GoStudent customer yet and only interested in GoVR English lessons, you can sign up for GoVR through Studienkreis, who are part of the GoStudent education group.

Tutors are English speakers, predominantly based in the UK, ensuring an authentic and high-quality language lessons. Our rigorous selection process involves evaluating the qualifications, experience, and teaching skills of prospective tutors, ensuring that they meet our high standards and align with our mission to deliver exceptional language learning experiences. Selected tutors are trained thoroughly by GoStudent and Immerse experts based on a custom-designed K12 curriculum, trained in technical skills and pedagogy.
